Throughout 2023, I've had the privilege of immersing myself in a diverse array of creative endeavors, crafting stories and layouts that resonate with a range of audiences. While my journey in mastering the nuances of typography and layout design is ongoing, the past year has been an enriching exploration of refining my craft and infusing it with my distinct illustrative style. Presented here is a curated collection of some of my most cherished projects from this period.

Each spread provided it's own unique set of challenges that I sought to overcame. Each story requires it's own visual story. Many of these spreads were for Colorado Mesa University's printed MavMagazine, sent to current students, faculty, and alumni. Having to balance engaging design with legibility took me quite a few rounds of revision.
outcome
Even if I admire plenty of other designers works in this medium far more than my own, I'm am happy to say that the growth I've had over this year has been apparent. Because of these works I've become friends with some of the stories of those within my design and have made contacts that have reached out just to say they appreciate the work and would like to work with me in their own projects

So here I am, engaging in the timeless art of verbosity, crafting paragraphs upon paragraphs with the sole purpose of taking up space. But fear not, dear reader, for while the content may be as substantial as a pixel in a sea of resolution, the illusion of expertise is anything but pixelated. Each meticulously constructed sentence serves as a testament to my commitment to the craft of appearing knowledgeable, even when the content itself is about as meaningful as a discarded USB cable.
