The pomodoro technique for motivating yourself by getting lil'guys to fight.
Pummel Doros started as a joke about how the Pomodoro technique feels like battling tiny monsters for control of your own attention, and then it immediately spiraled into a full creature capture game because apparently my brain cannot leave a dumb idea alone. The premise is simple. Every task you tackle summons a Doro, a little productivity gremlin that you have to pummel into compliance before the timer runs out. Each break spawns a different type, usually smug, usually judging you. Designing the creatures and the system became this weirdly motivating loop where procrastination turned into worldbuilding and worldbuilding turned into actual work getting done. Honestly, if my to do list had been this entertaining earlier, I might have gotten more sleep in college.
