For two years I made it my mission to test my manager Lisa Smith’s patience with whatever off-the-wall idea I could slip onto her desk. Posters, stickers, strange side projects, all of it. Along the way I drew Rowdy, our maverick mascot, far more than any sane person should. A good handful of those Rowdys were deemed “inappropriate,” which tracks when you give a designer too much freedom and a cartoon bull with no boundaries.
